A FIRST TASTE
About this demo.
At Our Table is a school community project for Leicester High, celebrating the diversity of our school through family recipes, cultural traditions, everyday meals and the stories behind them.
A page for every family
This is a place for pupils, families, staff and alumnae to share the food that means something to them. A simple supper belongs here as much as a celebration dish. Cultural descriptions belong to contributors; nobody is asked to represent an entire country or community.
Known, valued and inspired
Our school vision is that every girl is known, valued and inspired to be her best. In this cookbook, that means getting to know the people behind the recipes, valuing the traditions each family brings, and finding the confidence to try something new together.
What you can try
Explore six sample recipes, search and filter the collection, save favourites in this browser, use step-by-step cooking mode, print a recipe and try the local recipe-sharing form.
Sample content, clearly labelled
All contributors and stories are fictional. Recipe content is illustrative and has not been reviewed by the School or its catering team. The School crest and colour references come from the existing Leicester High website project. The cookbook layout and title treatment are a design interpretation; the sample recipes and stories are not School-approved.
Illustrative photography
The family-table image and food images were generated with OpenAI image generation for this demo. The gathering is imagined, not an actual school event. They illustrate the community cookbook direction and are not photographs of real community contributions.
Your information
No accounts, payments or server-side submissions are connected. Saved recipes and recipe drafts are stored only in your current browser. Drafts save automatically as you write; use Clear saved draft to remove them. Avoid entering real personal or pupil information in the sample form. Vercel hosts this demo and may process standard request information as part of providing hosting.
Before the real table opens
The full product will need reviewed content, confirmed school policies, secure accounts, moderation, verified allergen review and membership services. This demonstration is not the live school cookbook.
